Wix Racing aims to get back into the hunt at Silverstone

Adam Morgan and the WIX Racing team must put the disappointment of Rockingham behind them and get straight back into the top ten, shootout at Silverstone.

Adam, who enjoyed his best qualifying of the year so far at Rockingham, had his hopes of yet another solid point scoring weekend, dashed by an object smashing through the front of his car and damaging the engine beyond repair.

“The team have fixed the car and we enjoyed a very positive run at Brands Hatch last week” said Morgan “to be forced out of the last Championship meeting by an unavoidable incident was very disappointing. The car was perfect, it really was on rails and we were on a roll of 11 top 10 consecutive finishes. I am aiming for a grid position and consistent top 6 finishes in all 3 races”

Adam loves the Silverstone National circuit, it’s where he secured his Ginetta G55 Supercup Championship Title and he still enjoys close links with the factory. He is often their chief instructor, selecting talented young drivers in to the sport.

Norman Burgess Commercial and Marketing Manager “It’s been a busy few weeks for the team, Adam, Paul Ridgway and the engineers have been doing their bit, on the track, all year and commercially that makes things so much easier for us. Our title sponsors WIX Filters are brilliant at marketing and the team is going from strength to strength”.

“We enjoy a monthly column in the official Mercedes-Benz Club magazine and even our race transporter had its own 6 page spread in the “trucking” magazine, it was a fantastic article” Norman continued “we have the ability, infrastructure and intent to run two cars in the Championship next year but this is dependent upon us being able to secure the licence required to implement our plans……. So, the future is bright, the future is yellow!!!!”
